Softball Recap: Buckley Triumphs

Buckley came out on top against St. Francis on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Bears sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Gladiators.

Maddie Chilson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Maddi Sladek, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one double.

Buckley's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for St. Francis, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Buckley will be playing at home against Reed City at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. St. Francis will be paying especially close attention to the Bears' matchup: after the Bears face off against the Coyotes, they'll take on St. Francis again at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
