Baseball Recap: Mountain Vista Has No Trouble Against Pueblo West

Mountain Vista had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Pueblo West Cyclones as they made off with an 11-0 win. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Golden Eagles this season.

The team relied heavily on Spike Magill, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anthony Mitchell, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Mountain Vista always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Mountain Vista now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Pueblo West, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Mountain Vista will be playing in front of their home fans against Regis Jesuit at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Raiders have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Pueblo West, they are taking a road trip to take on Doherty at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
