After a string of three wins, Herron's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Braves by a score of 3-2. The Achaeans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Braves from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Herron wouldn't go down easily and took Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-14, 18-25, 19-25, 15-11.

Gideon Nelson paced Herron's offense, picking up 17 kills. Nelson got some help from Andy Beck and his 17 assists. Nelson was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Herron's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.

Herron wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Christel House on the 6th. As for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Noblesville on the 5th.
