Baseball Recap: Uniontown Comes Up Short

Uniontown fell victim to Belle Vernon and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Leopards, falling 12-0. The Red Raiders haven't had much luck with the Leopards recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Uniontown's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Belle Vernon, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Uniontown will challenge Ligonier Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Belle Vernon, they will host South Park at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. South Park's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Belle Vernon's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
