Basketball Recap: Orangefield Extends Winning Streak to Two

Orangefield won the last time they faced Kirbyville, and Jaden Scales did his part to make sure it happened again. The Orangefield Bobcats blew past the Kirbyville Wildcats 81-33 on Friday thanks in part to Scales, who went 7 of 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 27 points. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Butler, who posted five points and four steals. Those four steals gave him a new career-high.

The victory made it two in a row for Orangefield and bumps their season record up to 12-5. As for Kirbyville, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Orangefield and Terry will round out the year against one another at at 1:50 p.m. on Friday. As for Kirbyville, they will face off against Bob Hope at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
