Volleyball Game Preview: Madison Dragons vs. O'Neill Eagles

For the first time this season, Madison will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. After both having extra time off, they and the O'Neill Eagles will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Madison is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Madison came up short against Schuyler and fell 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 20-25, 25-23, 25-22.

Meanwhile, O'Neill came up short against Cedar Catholic on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered against the Trojans since October 18, 2021.

While O'Neill was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23, 25-15.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 5-25. As for O'Neill, their loss dropped their record down to 13-17.

Madison couldn't quite get it done against O'Neill in their previous matchup back in October of 2016 as they fell 2-0. Can the Dragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
