Volleyball Recap: Cortez Falls to Goldwater in First Game of Season

Cortez unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Goldwater Bulldogs on Wednesday. If the Colts were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-19, 25-19.

The win (which was Goldwater's seventh in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Cortez didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Washington on the 4th. After both having extra time off, Goldwater and Crismon will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
