Football Recap: Early Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Early lost against Comanche back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Longhorns took a blow against the Indians, falling 35-7. The Longhorns were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

It was another big night for Ladanian Smith, who rushed for 141 yards and three TDs for Comanche. Smith's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 102 rushing yards. Comanche also got help from Ct Buford, who showed off his sure hands for 102 receiving yards.

Early is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Comanche, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Early and Comanche will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Longhorns see the field they'll take on Tolar at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Comanche, their break will end when they face Jim Ned at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
