Basketball Game Preview: Atkinson County Rebels vs. Brooks County Trojans

Atkinson County hasn't had much luck against Brooks County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Rebels will jump right back in to play the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Atkinson County easily dispatched Lanier County two weeks ago, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Rebels fell just short of Clinch County by a score of 52-50 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rebels have suffered since January 9th.

Meanwhile, Brooks County lost 58-37 to Turner County on Thursday. The Trojans have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Brooks County's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Atkinson County, their loss dropped their record down to 15-11.

Atkinson County came up short against Brooks County when the teams last played on February 3rd, falling 57-51. Can the Rebels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
