Soccer Recap: Rochelle Takes a Loss

Rochelle fought the good fight in their overtime match against Genoa-Kingston on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cogs by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Genoa-Kingston this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 last Friday.

Rochelle's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Genoa-Kingston, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rochelle will take on Morris at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Genoa-Kingston, they will challenge Belvidere at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
