League recap: Natchez tops Forest Hill to extend winning streak

6A Region 3 recap Oct. 9, 2012

Natchez extended the longest winning streak in 6A Region 3 this week by beating Forest Hill, 47-10. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Bulldogs.

Natchez took down the Patriots 47-10 last week, the largest margin of any game. Anthony Robinson threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 72 yards in the win.

Jamal Blackmon was the most productive running back in the league this week. In nine carries, he ran for 143 yards as Terry bested Forest Hill. Jarius Moore also contributed to the rushing game with 102 yards on the ground.

Kaho was the best wideout in the league this week as the Bulldogs defeated the Patriots. Kaho racked up four receptions for 104 yards. Derrian Johnson helped Natchez's passing attack out by catching six balls for 100 yards.

The marquee game in 6A Region 3 this week will be the clash between Meridian and Brandon. The Wildcats enters the game ranked 13th in the state, while the Bulldogs ranks eighth.

Natchez led the league in scoring this week after putting up 47 points on Forest Hill. Robinson in the win.
