Volleyball Game Preview: Templeton Eagles vs. Exeter Monarchs

Templeton is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Exeter a nine-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Saturday. The Templeton Eagles will take on the Exeter Monarchs in a tournament on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Templeton had taken Paso Robles down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Bearcats.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 23-25, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Exeter suffered their biggest defeat since September 11th on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Hanford West.

While Exeter had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-22, 25-22.

Templeton's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Exeter, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Templeton skirted past Exeter 2-1 when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Monarchs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
