Baseball Game Preview: El Dorado Wildcats vs. Harrison Goblins

The El Dorado Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Harrison Goblins at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

El Dorado will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Hot Springs on Thursday. El Dorado was the clear victor by a 10-3 margin over Hot Springs. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Meanwhile, Harrison waltzed into their game on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Blackhawks by a score of 9-4. While the Goblins didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-15-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Harrison's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for El Dorado, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
