Baseball Game Preview: Landmark Vikings vs. Brooks

The Landmark Vikings will take on Brooks at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Landmark and Bancroft, and Landmark kept the tradition alive. The Vikings came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 6-3 on Thursday.

Theo Masella and Harry O'Connor made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Masella struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, O'Connor struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. At bat, Masella went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while O'Connor went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits Masella has posted since back in April of 2024.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jason Piscatelli, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, while Brooks put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for St. George's. Brooks blew past St. George's 11-0. Brooks hasn't had any issues with St. George's recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The victory got Landmark back to even at 1-1. As for Brooks, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
