Foothill is a perfect 5-0 against Las Plumas since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Foothill Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Las Plumas Thunderbirds at 6:00 p.m. Foothill knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Las Plumas likes a good challenge.
If Foothill beats Las Plumas with 62 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Foothill walked away with a 62-52 win over Pleasant Valley on Thursday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Foothill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caiden Cochran, who made all 6 shots he took racking up 18 points. The dominant performance gave Cochran a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Cade Memeo, who posted ten points.
Foothill was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pleasant Valley only racked up seven assists.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Las Plumas, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-47 victory over Orland on Friday.
Las Plumas had a senior duo take command as T.J. Thompson went 8-for-18 on his way to 21 points in addition to six boards and four steals and Jayden Webb almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Noeh Morrison, who had nine points.
Foothill has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Las Plumas, their win bumped their record up to 19-9.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Foothill has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 26.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Las Plumas struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.6 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Foothill against Las Plumas in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, as the team secured a 73-34 victory. Will Foothill repeat their success, or does Las Plumas have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
