Houston Academy is a perfect 9-0 against Daleville since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Houston Academy Raiders will welcome the Daleville Warhawks at 4:30 p.m. Houston Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Houston Academy came up short against Headland and fell 9-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost seven in a row.

Gabe Glover was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Glover was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Glover wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Trey Bradley, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Daleville came into Tuesday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past Houston County 6-5.

Joseph Ray was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

Daleville's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Houston Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Houston Academy took their victory against Daleville in their previous matchup back in March of 2022 by a conclusive 20-1. Will Houston Academy repeat their success, or does Daleville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
