Mulvane hadn't done well against McPherson recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Bullpups 2-1. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Bullpups walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Mulvane got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 16-25, 25-23.

Mulvane's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for McPherson, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Coincidentally, Mulvane and McPherson will both be playing Andale the next time they take the court. The Bullpups will host the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
