Basketball Recap: Ellet Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Ellet lost to Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy back in February, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Orangemen walked away with a 56-46 victory over the Royals. The win was nothing new for the Orangemen as they're now sitting on four straight.

Ellet was led to victory by D'Amore Scott and Kenadie Keith. Scott shot 67% from the field on her way to 21 points in addition to six boards and five steals, while Keith went 6-for-13 to rack up 18 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Those 18 points gave Keith a new career-high. Janiyah Carter was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

Ellet's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Ellet won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Firestone at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Orangemen will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, they will host Lake Catholic at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. This will be the Royals' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
