Football Recap: Wake Prep Academy Skates Past North Edgecombe with Ease

Wake Prep Academy got themselves on the board against North Edgecombe on Friday, but North Edgecombe never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 48-0 victory over the Warriors. Considering the Guardians have won three matchups by more than 34 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Austin Battle threw for 270 yards and four TDs on only 19 passes. Justin Battle was his top target, picking up 149 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Everett Holm rushed for 47 yards and one touchdown.

The win was the third in a row for Wake Prep Academy, bringing their record up to 3-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points over those games. As for North Edgecombe, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.
