Football Game Preview: Rocky Ford Meloneers vs. Springfield Longhorns + How To Watch

The Rocky Ford Meloneers will venture away from home to take on the Springfield Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rocky Ford has given up an average of 39.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Rocky Ford's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against McClave on Thursday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 51-0 to the Cardinals, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Meloneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Cardinals are ranked first).

Meanwhile, Springfield played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 56-14 loss at the hands of Las Animas. The Longhorns were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-14.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Rocky Ford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.
