Softball Recap: Segerstrom Comes Up Short

Segerstrom came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Chaparral Pumas, falling 11-2. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pumas apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

Segerstrom's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Chaparral, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Coming up, Segerstrom will head out on the road to challenge La Mirada at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Matadores' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Jaguars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Chaparral, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-7 win against Katella on the 14th.
