With a playoff win on the line, Mt. Mansfield rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Burlington Seahorses 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Mt. Mansfield was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (105-102), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-23, 25-21, 17-25, 15-11.

Grady Tacy-Munroe paced Mt. Mansfield's offense, picking up 18 kills. Tacy-Munroe got some help from Holden Lerner and his 38 assists. Finally, Jake Philbrick kept Mt. Mansfield's defense grounded, leading the team with seven blocks.

Mt. Mansfield's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Burlington, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-4.

Looking ahead, Mt. Mansfield will face off against Essex at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Burlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
