Volleyball Recap: Moapa Valley Finds Playoff Glory Versus Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Moapa Valley had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas Falcons. This was payback for the Pirates, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22, 15-25, 25-19.

Moapa Valley can attribute much of their success to Spencer Stolworthy, who had 31 assists and 16 digs. Those 16 digs gave Stolworthy a new career-high.

The win got Moapa Valley back to even at 10-10. As for Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas, they moved to 16-6 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Coming up, Moapa Valley will head out on the road to square off against Virgin Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
