Football Recap: Hartshorne Takes a Loss

Hartshorne lost against Pocola back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Miners had to suffer through a 46-3 loss at the hands of the Indians. The contest marked the Miners' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Even if they lost, Hartshorne's defensive line still kept up the pressure with eight sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Raider Schoggins and Malachi Sunagoowie, who racked up all eight sacks between them.

It was another big night for Jaseir Posey, who rushed for 68 yards and one TD on only eight carries, and also threw for 152 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 passes for Pocola. That's the most rushing yards Posey has posted since back in November of 2024. Jaryus Birdsong was in the mix too, providing Pocola with two scores.

This is the second loss in a row for Hartshorne and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for Pocola, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
