Baseball Recap: Make It 20 in a Row for Enterprise

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Enterprise walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Fairhope Pirates on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 19 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Davis Shiver spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brady Cavanaugh was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Walker Turner, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

The win was the 20th in a row for Enterprise, bringing their record up to 36-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Fairhope, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 31-15.

Enterprise will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pirates: the pair will be back at it again later today.
