Softball Recap: Wheaton Academy Victorious

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Wheaton Academy brought some dynamite into their most recent match. Everything went their way against the Chicago Christian Knights on Monday as they made off with an 18-5 victory. The Warriors not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 10, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Reese Dryfhout, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Olivia Stary, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Wheaton Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chicago Christian struck out seven times.

Wheaton Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Chicago Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
