Football Recap: Greenbrier Finds Home Field Redemption Against Sycamore

There's no place like home for Greenbrier, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 25-22 win over the Sycamore War Eagles on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Bobcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Sycamore still got an impressive performance from Hicks Hunter, who rushed for 122 yards. Hunter didn't just play on offense: he also made three total tackles and defended one pass.

The victory got Greenbrier back to even at 1-1. As for Sycamore, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Greenbrier will take on Macon County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sycamore, they will face off against Liberty Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
