Softball Recap: Monterey Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Monterey had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top against the Tascosa Rebels by a score of 12-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-5 back in March.

Monterey's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Tascosa, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-19 record this season.

Coincidentally, Monterey and Tascosa will both be playing Amarillo the next time they take the field. The Rebels will host the Sandies at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Plainsmen will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
