Football Recap: Keith Lyons-Starks' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Josey over Gordon Central + How To Watch

Josey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 44-24 to the Gordon Central Warriors. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 37-0 to the Warriors when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Josey's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keith Lyons-Starks, who picked up 154 receiving yards and four TDs. Zavion Hearst was another key signal caller, throwing for 237 yards and four touchdowns.

Josey's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Gordon Central, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Josey will host Hancock Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gordon Central, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Chattooga at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th.
