The Seton LaSalle Rebels are taking a road trip to face off against the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Seton LaSalle's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
If Seton LaSalle beats Our Lady of the Sacred Heart with 15 runs on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Rebels didn't even let Carlynton on the board on Wednesday, marking the Rebels' second-straight 15-0 shutout. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Gianna Ferrieri was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kamyia Morris, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mariya Chajkowski, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Seton LaSalle was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .619. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart scored first but ultimately less than Chartiers-Houston in their contest on Thursday. They lost 11-2 to the Buccaneers. The Chargers haven't had much luck with the Buccaneers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Seton LaSalle's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
