Softball Game Preview: Lodi Blue Devils vs. Cambria-Friesland Hilltoppers

The Lodi Blue Devils are taking a road trip to face off against the Cambria-Friesland Hilltoppers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lodi was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Stoughton on Monday. The Blue Devils blew past the Vikings 15-5.

Meanwhile, Cambria-Friesland came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Bobcats.

Cambria-Friesland's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Lodi, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.

Lodi took their victory against Cambria-Friesland when the teams last played back in May of 2019 by a conclusive 16-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
