The Lorena Leopards will venture away from home to challenge the Giddings Buffaloes at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lorena is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.

Lorena barely beat Hearne the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Lorena was the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over Hearne on Monday. Dale Hudspeth was a massive factor in the win as he booted in four goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Giddings' good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Salado. While losing is never fun, the Buffaloes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 441st, while the Eagles are ranked 146th).

Lorena's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those six games. As for Giddings, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.
