Tuesday just wasn't the day for Hillsdale's offense. They fell just short of the Burlingame Panthers by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The Fighting Knights' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Hillsdale saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Shelton, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Hillsdale's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7-1. As for Burlingame, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10.

Coming up, Hillsdale will host Capuchino at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Fighting Knights 2.5, the Mustangs 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Burlingame, they will venture away from home to square off against Carlmont at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Scots at the right time seeing as the Scots are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
