Softball Recap: Cardinal Spellman Comes Up Short

Cardinal Spellman was the 14-1 winner over Monsignor McClancy when they last played one another back in April of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Pilots lost 15-5 to the Crusaders on Friday.

Cardinal Spellman saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nisauly Dominguez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Cardinal Spellman's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Monsignor McClancy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Cardinal Spellman will challenge Notre Dame of Manhattan at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Monsignor McClancy, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Xaverian at 4:30 p.m.
