Softball Recap: St. Joseph Academy Gets the Win

St. Joseph Academy proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 11) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Old Plank Christian Academy Defenders 13-12. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-4 last Monday.

St. Joseph Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Old Plank Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Looking ahead, St. Joseph Academy will be playing at home against Crescent City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Old Plank Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Trinity Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Defenders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Conquerors have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season.
