The Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon Pirate suffered their biggest defeat since December 4, 2023 on Friday. They took a serious blow against Boulder City, falling 62-34. Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-16.
Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kaden Wright, who scored 13 points. Bradie Xaysana was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Leading Boulder City to victory were Luke Wright and Sean Pendleton. Wright scored 15 points along with two steals, while Pendleton scored 17 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 12 consecutive losses for Doral Academy Red Rock and three for Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon. As for Boulder City, they will head out on the road to face off against Sports Leadership & Management at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Sports Leadership & Management focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 last Wednesday.
