Basketball Recap: Wright Comes Up Short

Wright was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Academy of the Sacred Heart Cardinals and fell 67-16. Wright lost against Academy of the Sacred Heart in their previous head to head back in January of 2025, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 32-25 score last time.

Wright's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Academy of the Sacred Heart, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Wright wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 42-35 loss against Landry on the 29th. As for Academy of the Sacred Heart, they have also already played their next game, a 71-5 win against Kennedy on the 29th.
