Baseball Game Preview: Campbell Hall Vikings vs. Brentwood School Eagles

The Campbell Hall Vikings will take on the Brentwood School Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Campbell Hall is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Campbell Hall didn't have quite enough to beat Viewpoint and fell 5-4. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by just one run.

Meanwhile, Brentwood School didn't have quite enough to beat Windward on Thursday and fell 3-2. The Eagles have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Dean Hoshide was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Brentwood School saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Kaplan, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Campbell Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Brentwood School, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Campbell Hall skirted past Brentwood School 4-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
