Victoria East snaps three-game streak of wins at home

Recap: Victoria East Titans vs. Gregory-Portland Wildcats

The Victoria East Titans pushed their score all the way to 58 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 62-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gregory-Portland. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Victoria East in their matchups with Gregory-Portland: they've now lost four in a row.

Shawn Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Gregory-Portland, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 14 rebounds. Williams hasn't dropped below 15points for 19 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Juaquin Felan, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.

Victoria East's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-12. As for Gregory-Portland, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-4.

Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Victoria West the next time they take the court. Gregory-Portland will host Victoria West at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Victoria East will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
