Volleyball Recap: Quincy's Undefeated Season over After 15 Games

Quincy lost against Hannibal back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 3-2. The loss was the Blue Devils' first of the season.

Quincy took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-21, 23-25, 22-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Madison Loos paced Quincy's offense, picking up ten kills. Loos got some help from Madelyn Hamby and her 20 assists. Alyssa Farlow controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Quincy fell to 14-1. As for Hannibal, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-5-1.

Quincy has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Rock Island on the 30th. As for Hannibal, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Fulton on the 30th.
