Soccer Game Preview: Alleghany vs. Carroll County

The Alleghany Cougars will head out to square off against the Carroll County Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alleghany is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Alleghany's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They skirted past Floyd County 1-0.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three games, Carroll County finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They fell just short of Radford by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for Carroll County in their meetings with Radford: they've now lost seven in a row.

Carroll County now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Alleghany, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Alleghany beat Carroll County by a goal in their previous matchup on April 3rd, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
