Preview: Delhi Hawks vs. Waterford Wildcats
After two games on the road, Delhi is heading back home. They will take on the Waterford Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Delhi will be strutting in after a victory while Waterford will be coming in after a loss.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Delhi ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past Denair 59-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Waterford suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Thursday. They were dealt a 47-20 defeat at the hands of Mariposa County. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Waterford has scored all season.
Delhi's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Waterford, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
Delhi didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Waterford in their previous matchup on January 3rd, but they still walked away with a 43-37 win. Does Delhi have another victory up their sleeve, or will Waterford turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
