Soccer Game Preview: Clinton vs. South Pointe

Clinton hasn't had much luck against South Pointe recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Red Devils will take on the Stallions at 9:00 a.m.

Clinton unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell 4-2 to Gilbert on Friday. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Clinton couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, South Pointe was forced to settle for a draw. They and Lewisville finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Friday.

Clinton came up short against South Pointe in their previous meeting back in March of 2019, falling 2-0. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
