After losing to the Brandywine Heights Area Bullets the last time they met, the Antietam Mountaineers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Antietam skirted past Brandywine Heights Area 39-36.
Antietam found their leader in underclassman AJ Schiefly, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. The match was Schiefly's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Marrero, who scored eight points.
The win got Antietam back to even at 5-5. As for Brandywine Heights Area, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Antietam will be playing at home against Shenandoah Valley at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. Shenandoah Valley has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7. Brandywine Heights Area won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pleasant Valley at 6:30 p.m. on January 5th.
