Game recap: Yucca Valley High School Football Team bests Citrus Valley

YUCCA VALLEY, Calif. - Saturday brought a surprise upset in California where Yucca Valley (Calif.) triumphed over No. 340 Citrus Valley (Redlands, Calif.) 20-7.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Gabe Sosa in the second quarter, the Trojans led 14-7 at the half.

Citrus Valley's lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run by Lance Douglas in the first quarter.

The loss comes after Citrus Valley defeated Beaumont 30-17 last week.

In a non-conference game next week Yucca Valley (2-0) takes on Barstow, and Citrus Valley (1-2) will go up against Murrieta Mesa also in a non-conference game.
