Soccer Game Preview: Brazoswood vs. Clear Creek

The Brazoswood Buccaneers will head out on the road to take on the Clear Creek Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brazoswood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.

Brazoswood is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Deer Park just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Deer by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Buccaneers came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Deer are ranked 211th).

Brazoswood's goal came courtesy of Genaro Macedo Jr, who's now up to ten this season.

Meanwhile, Clear Creek's game on Saturday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clear Lake. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Brazoswood's defeat dropped their record down to 17-2. As for Clear Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Brazoswood took their victory against Clear Creek in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brazoswood since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
