Softball Recap: Lyndhurst Comes Up Short

Lyndhurst was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Weehawken Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-0 back in April.

Lyndhurst's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Weehawken, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Lyndhurst has already played their next game, a 16-0 victory against St. Dominic Academy on the 17th. As for Weehawken, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-3 win against Bayonne on the 17th.
