Volleyball Recap: Calhan Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Calhan had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Kiowa Indians on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

While Calhan ultimately came up short, they really made Kiowa work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 29-27, 25-21.

When it comes to explaining why Calhan lost, don't look at Elysa Kelly. Despite the final result, she had 24 digs and three assists.

Calhan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Banning Lewis Academy on the 26th. As for Kiowa, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Evangel Christian Academy on the 26th.
