Basketball Recap: Salina Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Salina faced off against Central on Friday. The Salina Wildcats took a 51-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 398th, while the Tigers are ranked 145th).

Salina has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Central, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Salina wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 45-32 loss against Fairland on the 25th. As for Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-38 victory against Chouteau-Mazie on the 25th.
