Preview: Maimonides M-Cats vs. Fenway Panthers
Maimonides has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Wednesday. They will face off against the Fenway Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Maimonides will be strutting in after a win while Fenway will be coming in after a loss.
Even though Kohelet Yeshiva scored an imposing 56 points on Sunday, Maimonides still came out on top. Maimonides snuck past Kohelet Yeshiva with a 62-56 win.
Meanwhile, Fenway was the victim of a rough 63-41 defeat at the hands of Tech Boston Academy on Monday.
Maimonides pushed their record up to 2-0 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Fenway, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Maimonides came up short against Fenway when the teams last played back in February of 2019, falling 50-42. Can Maimonides avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
